Resident Spotlight: Billy Beldon

Billy Belden, Farmstead’s resident centenarian has some words of wisdom to share. When asked what’s the secret to his longevity, he said “Well, I don’t know, don’t drink. Don’t smoke. That’s how I lived.”

Billy was a rancher in the wide open spaces of Montana for much of his life. When asked what his hobbies were, he said “If you were a rancher, you were a rancher!” He fondly remembers riding horses across the Montana vastness to visit was an ice cave. “All you could see was ice. Beautiful.”

Billy was married to his wife Roberta for 63 years before her passing in 2016. They have 3 children—Marjorie, Lexis and Jack.

At Farmstead, you can often seen Billy participating in many of the scheduled activities, from Bingo to morning exercise. He keeps asking, “What's next?”
